Bereavement Ministry

Our Mission Statement:

To support parishioners and families who have lost a loved one by providing comfort, consolation and support.

Objectives

To provide assistance regarding funeral planning such as rosary, scripture readings and music.  Contact priest and deacons for the mass and burial services.

Goal

To welcome the families and make them feel the love and support of our ministry as well as the prayers and blessings of our catholic community at Holy Name Church.

– Meet with the Bereaved Family

– Help the Family with questions and concerns.

– Ministry sends sympathy card along with three Mass intentions in the name of the deceased.

– Follow up phone call.

If possible, funeral service information will be posted on the bulletin board in the Church foyer.

AFTER THE FUNERAL

2-3 month follow up phone call.

Annual Mass of Remembrance on  All Souls’ Day

Help still grieving Families find the appropriate help.
