Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Founded in 1987, the primary goal of the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe is to promote devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas. She is the Mother of all of us. The biggest event for this organization is the celebration of the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th of each year. Festivities begin at 6:00 A.M. when members gather in front of the image of Our Lady to sing “Las Mananitas” and then gather for breakfast.
Later, an evening Mass is celebrated in her honor and includes a re-enactment of the apparition to San Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac outside of Mexico City. The Society also celebrates a bilingual Mass on the first Sunday of each month at the 7:30 A.M. Mass for all members living and deceased, prays a special rosary at the funeral of members, and participates in a holy hour of Eucharistic Adoration on Holy Thursday.
Two fundraisers are held each year and members are called upon to participate in all spiritual and corporal works of mercy designated by our pastor. To accept the invitation to join our organization, Call our Parish Office at (210) 333-5020
