What is Stewardship?
The Diocese of Charlotte has developed a definition of stewardship to give a context to all its efforts in stewardship. While the definition certainly cannot explain all there is to stewardship, it can provide direction for work in thin important area of the Church.
Stewardship is based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus; where it has been implemented, both givers and receivers’ lives have been changed. Stewardship is a way of life, a way of thanking God for all the blessings we have received by returning a portion of the time, talent, and treasure allotted to us. Stewardship engenders a spirituality that deepens our relationship with the Lord. Stewardship involves intentional, planned, and proportionate giving of our time, talent, and treasure. Stewardship addresses both individual parishioners as well as parishes themselves.

¿Qué es la mayordomía?
La Diócesis de Charlotte ha desarrollado una definición de mayordomía para dar un contexto a todos sus esfuerzos en materia de mayordomía. Si bien la definición ciertamente no puede explicar todo lo que implica la mayordomía, puede brindar dirección para el trabajo en un área poco importante de la Iglesia.
La mayordomía se basa en los principios espirituales del Antiguo Testamento y las enseñanzas de Jesús; donde se ha implementado, las vidas tanto de los donantes como de los receptores han cambiado. La mayordomía es una forma de vida, una forma de agradecer a Dios por todas las bendiciones que hemos recibido al devolver una parte del tiempo, el talento y el tesoro que se nos ha asignado. La mayordomía engendra una espiritualidad que profundiza nuestra relación con el Señor. La mayordomía implica dar intencionalmente, planificada y proporcionadamente nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro. La corresponsabilidad se dirige tanto a los feligreses individuales como a las parroquias mismas.
